OUR NOBLE CAUSE

History,
Mission & Vision
The Donkey and Mule Sanctuary and Foundation in Orleans, Ontario, grew out of a special 10-year program to provide peer-support and programing for Canada's female military veterans.
In 2026, the Sanctuary dedicated itself to helping the animals that helped our veterans by providing sanctuary to donkeys and mules seeking a forever home.
Our aim is to create an enriching haven for these incredible domesticated animals, advocate for their well-being through education and provide a shared space for all kinds of people to appreciate them.
